Browser Only, and That's Good

The no-installer design is a safety feature: nothing is bundled, nothing runs in the background, and updates are automatic — refresh the page and you're current. You also can't catch a game-virus, because you never installed one.

The trade-off is that a live city streams to your browser. In launch week the servers strained under the crowd — if you hit a “Reconnecting to Lagos…” loop, that's server load, not your device.
